The National and University Library of University of Debrecen, Hungary and The Tibiscus Univerity of Timisoara, Romania participate in a joint, 55 million HUF project, which focuses on enhancing digital literacy. The project includes the development and organization of courses for various groups. The trainings are targetting users in the border area where the unemployment rate is high, enabling them to enter or re-enter the labor market.

 

The developed digital course materials, aiming at three different target groups - secondary  and university students, teachers and the general public, plan to enhance skills that enable them to successfully enter labor market. The trilingual aspect of the program helps students to acquire the basic skills that will assist their job search in a multilingual area. WIthin the framework of the life long learning program, course participants learn to use the internet and various databases or to prepare ppt presentations. Courses are organized both in Debrecen and Timisoara for 27 groups, and the course materials will be accessible on-line. More information about the program can be found at www.deenk-huro.eu.
